this is fascinating to me, not in the least because the “public” ? mosaic mural i was involved in creating is now part of a debate as some are upset about newer murals in the same space.
i can’t help but giggle that he is a smoker as that seems like falling for the biggest ad campaign ever.
he does raise serious issues though and i agree it is important to help create the environment we want to live in, to be active in creating our communities and space.
it also seems though that there are different issues going on here.
is he really against only advertisement that is illegal? is he using his art as a temporary action to displace and halt the illegal advertising? does he want his art to stay in the place of the advertising?
