Heading home for the weekend, whoo boy it’s a bit complicated, but I am anticipating some delicious food. Attending my late mother’s Gourmet Club in the house I grew up in- the theme is Presidents. What should I wear? It’s a bit early in the season for maple syrup, unfortunately, but I’m thinking we can [...]

The counter lady was very patient with me and my dog in a bag (“What? There’s no dog here. That’s just a furry growth under my armpit. Please [...]

My brother works at this cafe in the renovated firehouse in Northampton. They have fanatically good and huge baked items and beverages. Yum. There are always Smith professors hanging out here. Miranda and I were like, well, I guess we could live in Northampton and it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
Barking Crab, Boston

This is a stunt lobster I found on the internets. The Barking Crab is a colorful harborside family drinking establishment under a tent within easy walking distance of the ICA. They give you more shrimp than you can ever eat and make you smash your lobster open with a rock. This is a great first [...]
