Secrets of Tomb 10A: MFA, Boston

egyptian servantsI am now two for two (weekends and museums) in 2010. My sister and I checked out this wacky Egyptian tomb exhibit. It was written and designed for fifth-graders, it seemed to me, although the gravegoods can speak for themselves. And they say: the Egyptians were as materialistic and insane as us, 4000 years ago.
My favorite exhibition on this visit was a small gallery with forty or so of Harry Callahan’s jewel box prints of his wife and other everyday subjects. Go, if you are in town.
